I can't believe there was no bass thread. Well there is now. Who all plays it? What can you play and how long have you all played?
I myself have played since I was 12, that's 7 years now. I can play about any Green Day song, and various other songs. ;D

is it worth having lessons, or just teach yourself I taught myself, and if you click the link to my music in my sig, you can tell I'm not too too crappy... but it could be better... those were recorded about 8 months into my first picking up the bass If you want to just play songs, I say you can do it by yourself. If you want to get into technicalities and music theory of the bass, then take lessons.
