that a pretty long time for someone who wins without dying. With some people that i play with the 3 lives matches last up to 5 - 7 min and the 5 lives battle last up to 10 - 12min we get pretty intense with our battles lol this is only one on one's most of the time lol

15 lives takes to long i prefer like 5 or 3 depending on how many people there are. and i never use items. items are crap. I do 7 lives. No idea why And I throw items at people, I don't actually use them for what they're designed for

I play 15 lives, and I can usually end the match in 10-15 minutes give or take. How is that a long time for the amount of lives used? 15 lives takes to long i prefer like 5 or 3 depending on how many people there are. and i never use items. items are crap. I do 7 lives. No idea why And I throw items at people, I don't actually use them for what they're designed for XD I LOVE throwing items at people. I do that, and use them depending on the item. If I don't like an item proper, or I'm bored with it, it gets chucked at my opponent.

Haha wow, that's bad. But really, I have dodged items like that before. it isnt that difficult, you just press L or R, then push the control stick right or left. You have to have good timing to do it though.

to bring this thread back to topic (since the buttons you press don't really matter that much)...
i think the original super smash on N64 was the best, simply because it was much easier to control. i'm not talking about the graphics or anything, but if nintendo was to recreate their controller to imitate the N64 one, and then keep the game characters, maps, and stuff the same as melee, they would have a great game.

SO what does that tell us all...

Well I like Melee better myself. The controllers are different, obviously, and the gameplay itself just...it's the same, but with a huge bulky controller and the graphics and such, the characters move slower as well...I dunno. I just like Melee better. I find it easier to play with the controls I'm used to rather than the N64 controls (which I haven't played since I was like 15.) I'd have to relearn them all over again. XD; Well, not literally, I just wouldn't be used to it, that's all. *end ramble*
